Location and environment concept design for Road House (2024), directed by Doug Liman. Amazon Prime Video.
Glass Key — the town location surrounding the main Roadhouse bar. The brief required designing a believable small Florida Keys community: a strip of local businesses, a bookstore, a diner, a liquor store — the kind of place that feels like it existed long before any camera arrived.
The work included a full territory plan with numbered buildings, elevation studies of individual facades, reference boards showing real Florida Keys vernacular architecture, and multiple ground-level and aerial concepts exploring different camera angles.
Every building had to feel specific and authentic — not generic “small town USA” but distinctly Florida Keys: sun-faded paint, hand-painted signs, slightly chaotic signage, local character.
